Okay... It's possible I am the only adult on the planet who hasn't read Bridge to Terabithia... but just in case... here is your review and my strong recommendation to go read it! Holy! It's so good.

I picked up this book after a three minute bit of research. I'm in a book club right now that doesn't meet monthly, that doesn't read the same book, but that follows each other online and we read a book to fit a certain category. There are 30ish topics on our list. And we're hoping to have them all filled up with read books by the end of the year. One topic is to read a book the year you were born. I had to read this one... it came up on my computer screen and this book released the exact day I was born!

And I'm so glad!

Because I read it and I loved it.

Bridge to Terabithia is an oober easy read, it's a children's book, so the language and fluency flows without effort.

But it is a beautiful story of trial and family love, imagination and friendship, and good and evil. Watching Jesse Aaron learn and grow as his friendship with newcomer and girl!! Leslie Burke is heart-warming, all the while the adult in me realizing what a decent and extraordinary human being Jesse is!

Grab a box of tissues, take a day or two (three if you're slow like me) and make friends with Jesse and Leslie. You won't regret it.
